Visiting Caye Caulker for Easter 2017? Go, Slow for your vacations in Caye Caulker Easter Weekend

A part from San Pedro's biggest event on Easter weekend, the small island of Caye Caulker  is ram jam with locals and visitors. The area near the "Split" turns into a huge adult party over Easter weekend.  Latter I will outline some of the things you should know about that, but now let's focus on south of the "Sportsbar".  When you get south of that area Easter on Caye Caulker is completely different.  Activities tend to be aimed at kids and innocent fun.  Many of the companies on the island sponsor events like an Easter Egg hunt, water balloon fights and sack races.  If you're coming to the island over Easter and bringing young kids this is the area you want to hang around.  If you are going to come for Easter Weekend, consider booking a place on the south side of the island.  Anything north of the Airport and south of the school would put you in an area that is pretty quiet at night but close enough that a five-minute bike ride gets you to the split.

Easter weekend is always a big one on Caye Caulker, and this Easter was no exception. Loads of locals and tourists will  board the water taxi and made their way to the island to spend their holiday in the sun and water. There will be  DJ’s pumping out music from HUGE speakers on the new deck at The Split all weekend and the loud beats definitely  will call the attention of the crowds. People will piled around the bar ordering drinks, while others just relaxed in the water or laid on the sand, and the dance floor opened up long before the sun went down each day. If you are a party person and love to hang around Caye Caulker's Easter Weekend then, you don't want to miss 2017 Easter weekend.

But the celebrations will kick off on Saturday night with several parties happening across the island. Oceanside will have live bands playing, Jello bar will have live performance – which was incredible, as well as the beach party down at The Split. The streets were filled for most of the night as everyone made their way from one party to another to make sure they weren’t missing out on anything. But the night ended down at Jello at 5 in the morning with the crowd dragging their sore legs home after hours of dancing. It was a lot of fun! also, around the island participating bars who will be perfoming entertainment will have some surprising  dances, games, food and more.

It’s always great seeing the island so busy and everyone having such a great time together. It really is a special time of year out here in Caye Caulker… I hope to see everyone out their enjoying the weather right on Belize's amazing islands.
